Terry Gilliam

Born in Liverpool, Michael Birt studied photography at The Arts University College at Bournemouth. He has since been working in London and New York, taking portraits for a variety of publications including The Sunday Times Magazine, The Observer, The Independent Sunday Review, The Times, Radio Times, Glamour, Spectrum, Marie Claire, Tatler, Loaded and Q Magazine. In addition to these, he has worked for numerous magazines in the United States, such as New York Times Magazine, Time, Newsweek, People, Fortune, Forbes, and Tina Brownâ??s Talk Magazine, where he was under contract.

Gold Medal Winner of the Royal Photographic Societyâ??s, International Print Exhibition 2009. An exhibitor in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, London 2008, 2009 and 2011. Birt has exhibited widely in the UK and Europe, with a retrospective show at Fulham Palace, London, 2006-7.
