A ferocious tsunami, triggered by powerful earthquake (magnitude9.0) off the coast of eastern Japan, on March 11, 2011, left nearly 16,000 dead and 3,600 missing, and about 350,000 houses destroyed.
The powerful earthquake and tsunami destroyed infrastructures of many areas, so a lot of residents had to give up remaining their city or village.

I am a photographer of The Yomiuri Shimbun.
The Yomiuri Shimbun is a daily Japanese newspaper published in Tokyo and other major Japanese cities.
