Champa Lung De has brief memory of running away from Tibet in the 1950's. He has been staying in Dalhousie, India ever since. Now, 88 he lives off the food given by helpful villagers and neighbours. He stays in a 10 feet by 10 feet mud house in the valley.

Graduated in applied arts with a photography specialization from Sir JJ Institute of Applied Art,Mumbai and then did a Post Graduate diploma in Commercial Photography from Light and Life Academy, Ooty. India.
