These images are the result of my ongoing experimentation -- and fascination -- with motion abstract photography. What I enjoy most about this type of photography is the element of surprise. Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, you're never sure what you might get.

David Charles Kennedy is an award-winning photographer based in Florence, Oregon. Primarily a fine-art photographer, his work seeks to express the beauty in all things, the wonder in all moments, and the unique opportunity provided photographers of all skill levels to share this beauty and wonder with their fellow human beings.

At present, David's primary photographic pursuit is the artful display of one of nature's most artful creatures: the hummingbird. But he devotes a good portion of his time to experimental photography. His pioneering work in motion-abstract photography is already being recognized in international competitions. And he is currently exploring the seemingly endless possibilities of impressionistic photography -- abstract, landscape, and still-life -- using standard editing software and the mindful extrapolation of standard editing technique.

David is a graduate of the University of Alaska, where he studied both wildlife and fisheries biology. He is also a former breeder, trainer, and handler of champion field trial retrievers. He writes "bad poetry" in his spare time.
