The fascination with this project arose from casual observation of the involuntary outcome of farmers work. Crop rotation, machinery tracks, plant selection, practices that reach as far back as 10,000 years ago all become essential ingredients. Each photograph frames an area of farmland ranging from tens to hundreds of square meters of European and American soil, showing harmonious shades of color juxtaposed with subtle rhythmical patterns where color, shape and form seem to have been arranged by skilled artists in the search for beauty.
