Chinese Funeral

The white funeral outfit symbolizes sadness in the Chinese culture. Paper gadgets are burned to deliver them to the deceased in the dark world. The note offerings, a rectangular white piece of paper with three circles in the center, are scattered in the air to bless the deceased to have a smooth journey to the dark world.

Coming from an engineering background with no art experience, Canadian Clifton Li is an emerging award-winning photographer. Clifton is currently studying at Ryerson University's School of Image Arts in its Photography option, and is completing his third of four years. Clifton has been photographing both inside and outside the classroom for over three years. Recently, Clifton has been a semifinalist in the Hasselblad Masters (2010), and has received the Applied Arts Magazine's Student Award, gaining recognition for the quality and wide exposure of his work. Clifton has also been a CAPIC Rodeo Award winner for two years running.
