The great french photographer Gilbert Garcin died on April, 2020. These images are from the second part of a series I created inspired in his work and as a heartfelt tribute. It was done during the lockdown and solely at home with photos I took of myself and many of the photos I have taken through the years. It is a very important series for me, since I couldn't go out I had to go in. This Series tells a lot about me during the pandemic: my dreams, my desires and some of my nightmares and suffering too. I constructed the scenes trying to evoke entirely the feeling of Garcin's work.
Mexico City-based visual artist Ileana Montaño is an award-winning photographer who started her career as a professional in graphic communications and advertising. Her work has been exhibited in Brazil, South Korea, the United States, Hungary, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, India, Argentina, and Japan. In 2017 she presented her first solo exhibition, "Fragmentos de Luz", in Mexico City. She has also been published in Better Photography magazine and featured and collaborated in renowned blogs about mobile art and photography.
