Before settling in to this career he was meant for, he spent time as a college English teacher, graphic designer, fiction writer and advertising creative director. All of which were pretty cool and probably helped influence his visual style (clean, graphic and character-driven?even if the character happens to be a house boat or a stray set of microphones).
