Jinyoung Koh is a photographer studying for his MFA with a concentration in photography from California Institute of the Arts. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is currently taking pictures of staged situations about sin, influenced by his experience as an Emergency Medical Assistant in South Korea. His work alludes to a sense of alienation and vulnerability in a social context. The directed situations express, paradoxically, the discomfort and fear of reality through wit and parody in order to suggest a metaphorical connection between society and imagery.
