This was shot a few days after the heavy rains in the area. Post rain, the desert changes into this green lush garden ? The Garden of God. The grass was still short enough that the black rock could protrude and we can see the lines of rock as it shifts out of the earth. About two weeks later, all this disappears. It was an incredibly windy day when I shot this that I had to take shelter behind a bog rock on a koppie (rocky outcrop). This was shot towards NE while the sun was setting in the West at about 7pm. I used a grey filter to darken the sky and then created a more stormy feel in the sky.
