Botanical Artist Statement: ?I?m inspired by beauty, in both living and dead. I look into my garden and see beauty in smashed leaves and broken branches. It reveals itself as a rib cage or spinal cord when I slice into a flower, and reminds me of the beauty in sliced flesh, which I recorded as a medical photographer. It?s a beauty that hides beneath petals or leaves, it shows itself in the imperfect and waits patiently to be discovered.?
