UNESCO designated the year 2007 "Year of Rumi" to mark the 800th birth of eminent philosopher and mystical poet Hz.Jalaladdin Rumi (r.a). He is one of the greatest spiritual and literary figures of all times and known for his message and call for love, humanity and peace. He was also the founder of the Mawlawi order, better known as the "Whirling Dervishes".
