The First Trail

Flags are usually placed along this route to serve as markers for climbers traversing the snow. However, snow had arrived earlier than usual that year, and the flags had not yet been put in place. With no markers to follow, a climber ahead made their own way across the snow, leaving a single trail in their wake.
