This project explores Udmurtia's cultural identity through my personal archives and memories of growing up there. My focus is on women who never left their native lands, preserving traditions as daily life. Using digital collage, I weave archival images with symbols of a cultural code. The collage serves as a metaphor for our memory: it inevitably fragments over time, keeping only the most vivid details. Met in their advanced years, these women became a living bridge to ancient origins, transitioning from daily reality into a symbolic "heaven" where tradition becomes eternal art.

Liudmila Bogdanova is a multi-disciplinary photo artist based in St. Petersburg, working at the intersection of documentary photography, collage, and media art. Born in Udmurtia, Liudmila moved to St. Petersburg at the age of 18, where she pursued an education in musical arts and artistic communication. This background profoundly influences her unique method: she constructs her visual narratives through the categories of rhythm, tonality, and compositional harmony.
