To celebrate my daughter’s third birthday, we wore traditional kimono and wandered through an avenue of golden ginkgo trees.
As I looked at her, I couldn’t help but remember the tiny child who once fit so perfectly in my arms. Watching her grow fills me with both joy and quiet wonder.
Like the ginkgo leaves that turn a richer gold with each passing year, she continues to grow and flourish. This photograph is my way of preserving one fleeting moment in her childhood.
