Each year, Busójárás, the traditional Hungarian carnival in the town of Mohács, transforms the streets into a temporary world with its own logic. Part folk tradition, part street carnival, it is a place where masks, costumes and everyday life become inseparable.

Rather than documenting the official rituals, this series observes the moments in between: a busó waiting in a car, children roaming the streets, improvised performances and unexpected encounters. During these few days, ordinary roles become fluid, humour takes over, and the absurd feels completely natural.
