About a decade ago, Kampung Warna-Warni was a slum on the verge of demolition. By changing the colors of the village, the community succeeded in reshaping both its image and its future, creating new opportunities through tourism.
As the village lights slowly came on, what stayed with me most was not the colorful houses themselves, but a single resident illuminated by the light of home.
Within these vivid colors, I found something unexpectedly familiar: everyday life, quiet routines, and the enduring warmth of human existence.
