More than one billion birds die each year in the United States after colliding with glass and urban structures, while Canada loses an estimated 16 to 42 million. This series captures flocks moving through rigid city skylines, briefly transforming glass and steel into flowing, organic patterns. Photographed from ground level, the images explore scale, survival, and coexistence. They remind us that even as cities expand, nature continues to adapt and the sky remains a shared space. Their movement becomes a quiet act of resilience, revealing life within spaces built to dominate it.

Raghuvamsh Chavali is an internationally recognised Canadian photographer whose work has earned major awards across nature, fine art, architecture, street and conceptual photography.
