I captured this image during my last visit to La Défense, Paris. I was drawn to the structure's fluid, organic lines stand in stark contrast to the rigid glass towers of the surrounding business district.

I elected to edit the image in a dramatic black and white style to heighten the tension between old and new, curve and grid with the aim of transforming an ordinary skyline into a study of architectural origins, where a single visionary form gave rise to the dense, angular city now rising around it.

Scotland based architecture photographer enjoying the process of continually pushing my photography boundaries.

Ultimately, my photography is about interpretation rather than documentation. I am less concerned with recording a structure exactly as it appears and more interested in conveying how it feels.
