I captured this image of the former London City Hall during a visit to London last year. As the former location of the London Assembly, the building at the time of my visit was lying empty pending redevelopment. This gave rise to the title of the image Sine Voce (Without Voice).

Given the weather conditions that morning being extremely dull and wet, I elected to edit the image in a black and white fine art style and used the stair balustrade to lead the viewers eye up to the main subject.

Scotland based architecture photographer enjoying the process of continually pushing my photography boundaries.

Ultimately, my photography is about interpretation rather than documentation. I am less concerned with recording a structure exactly as it appears and more interested in conveying how it feels.
