She Who Writes the Silence

This photograph was taken at the Petit Palais in Paris, during an exhibition titled Kindheit im Licht, held in honour of the painter Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Before his work Silence!, I encountered a young girl who was quietly absorbed in her drawing. Dressed in strikingly vintage attire, she appeared as though she had stepped out of the painting itself.
