A woman sits adrift in a flooded interior, suspended between reflection and surrender. The room appears familiar, yet nothing functions as expected: ropes descend from above, a television emits static, and a portrait gazes elsewhere. As milk pours into the water, its surface briefly resists absorption, creating a fragile rupture in an otherwise still world. The photograph explores moments of emotional uncertainty when identity, memory, and desire become fluid. Caught between holding on and letting go, the figure inhabits a space where decisions remain unresolved and time appears to stand still

Hüseyin Abdik (b. 1991, Istanbul, Türkiye) is a photographer and visual artist whose practice explores memory, identity, fear, and the psychological landscapes that shape contemporary life. Working between documentary and constructed image-making, he investigates the tension between lived experience and imagined realities through cinematic visual narratives.
