Before sunrise, layers of volcanic peaks emerged above a sea of clouds while smoke continued to rise from the earth below. Standing before this landscape, I was reminded that these mountains are still shaping the land, just as they have for thousands of years. The tree in the foreground felt like a silent witness, watching over a story far older than human memory. Through this image, I sought to express the enduring pulse of the planet and the passage of deep time.
