"Lilac at Forty Four" is a photographic cycle of 20 images. For PX3, I submit an edited sequence of 8 photographs condensing its central motifs: lilac received as a gift from someone important, a symbol of spring and blooming, but also of loss; the studio on a historic street, at number 44, as an intimate space; prayer-like repetition, hands, traces of separation, and the tension between inner and outer space. The still-life elements are not decorative; they become emotional witnesses of intimacy and absence.
