Albania's economic boom has a coastline. Hotels, resorts and apartment blocks multiply along the Adriatic and Ionian shores, drawing millions of visitors and international investment. The government promotes tourism as the main growth engine, and numbers confirm it. But the landscape tells a more complex story: wealth concentrates in narrow coastal strips, luxury sits beside poverty, imported aesthetics replace local architecture. Albania is rushing toward modernity before truly reaching it. The question is how long this pace can hold, and what will remain when summer ends.

Enzo Parisi is an Italian documentary photographer whose work investigates territorial, economic and environmental transformations.
In 2020, the documentary "Aq*a" produced with the association made its debut on Prime Video.His first individual work, "Down on the Short Road Near the Causeway," earned multiple international awards in 2022, as well his subsequent project, "On the Edge of Water's Blues," in 2023.
Amongst the various awards, he has been recognized at the Israel International Photography Festival, the Helsinki Photo Festival, and won the First Prize at the International Photography
