Anámesa is self-portrait about the threshold between selfhood and the forces that seek to define or consume it. Emerging from darkness yet bound to it, the figure exists between vulnerability and resistance, exploring the unseen pressures that shape identity and the quiet defiance required to remain whole.

Katherine Dickson is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of fine art photography, music, and film. Her work is emotionally driven and conceptually rich, exploring themes of identity, memory, and the human condition. Rooted in her Dominican heritage and shaped by her experience as a TBI survivor, she creates evocative, story-driven imagery that blends the surreal with the deeply personal.
