ACCESS is an ongoing series that began in 2021 through my sustained practice of photographing artist entrances, service doors, loading docks, stage doors, and staff-only thresholds at cultural institutions.
Culture shapes identity and encodes memory by producing the narratives, artifacts, and rituals through which we come to understand both individual and collective histories. Within this framework, ACCESS examines literal and metaphorical ideas of entry at a moment when questions of who is granted access—how, why, and by whom—are increasingly visible and contested.
