Han Pijesak rises through the mountains of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where winters are unforgiving and the land wears its harshness openly. In the coldest months, snow stretches across the hills like an open sea beneath a blue sky, far from any shore. Morning frost gilding the fields, summer mist rolling over the forest. This mountain deserves to be kept, not only through photographs.
Ognjen Borovina has been capturing the world through his lens since 2013. A passionate lover of sharp and precise photography, he documents stories from five continents: Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, capturing people, nature and culture. Co-founder of the Photo-Cinema Club East Sarajevo, he actively contributes to photographic culture in the region. A special place in his work belongs to Malo Polje, a mountain village near Han Pijesak in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, his birthplace and the source of his deepest inspiration.
