Side, Turkey. Off-season. Beach umbrella frames stand stripped of their canopies, volleyball nets hang across empty sand. A resort town built for strangers, abandoned by them.
These are liminal spaces: structures that exist only in relation to an absent crowd. Without tourists they have no function. They wait, yearn.
Shot on film, the series uses analog grain and flat coastal light to deepen the sense of suspension and stasis.
The only human presence is the photographer himself: a half-transparent reflection in glass. A ghost passing through spaces built for others.
