In Sheridan Taiwan, temple rituals transform the streets into fields of fire. Participants carry active firecrackers by hand, exposing their bodies to heat, sparks, and smoke as an act of devotion.
Moving through explosions and dense smoke, they endure physical risk in a collective expression of belief.
This series explores the fragile boundary between faith and endurance, where the human body becomes inseparable from the ritual itself.
