Fragments of the Visible — Sublimations explores the metamorphosis of architectural forms through fragmentation, color, and perception. By isolating structures and surfaces, the images move away from representation and transform the built environment into a visual field of rhythms, tensions, and chromatic intensities. Architecture loses its function and stability, becoming an abstract language where scale dissolves and perception is constantly shifting.
Christian Goetghebeur is a French photographer exploring the metamorphosis of the visible through urban, architectural, and human environments. Through his ongoing body of work Sublimations, he develops a visual language where structure, color, and perception interact to transform reality. His practice moves beyond representation, creating images that shift between form, abstraction, and sensory experience.
Awards Exhibitions in France, Guadeloupe, and Morocco, including presentations in three galleries.
Commissioned by the cities of Pointe-à-Pitre and Basse-Terre for a photographic project to be exhibited publicly, with works entering the municipal collections.
Works held in private and institutional collections, including the Bachelot Collection and the Museum of the American Legation in Tangier.
