Munich’s underground metro stations are composed through symmetry, curvature, repetition, colour, and light. Concrete, glass, and steel transform transit infrastructure into precise architectural environments defined by order and proportion.

Within these spaces, the human figure becomes a point of reference. A solitary commuter reveals depth, magnitude, and spatial rhythm, grounding monumental geometry in lived experience. The series examines human scale as the relationship between permanent structure and the transient body moving through it.

With more than three decades of experience, Esra Belgin works primarily in documentary photography, street photography, and photojournalism. Her approach is rooted in observation and authenticity, concentrating on candid moments that reflect social realities and everyday life. Her photographs have been recognized with several awards in national and international competitions.
