This series presents four images of playfully fighting stallions I photographed in Spain. Historically, horses were depicted as heroic figures within classical compositions. This project revisits that tradition. The physical tension and dramatic movement of these two stallions reminded me of the old Master style paintings and classical knight tournaments. Their encounters resemble a courtly dance as much as a fight.
Through my editing I represent what I experienced through my camera lens and in my imagination: morphing into history and a classical painting.

As a self-taught artist, I bring instinct as well as experience to my work— years spent working with horses at an international level have given me an intimate understanding of their behaviour, character, and unique energy.
I now observe and photograph horses from a more intentional and visual perspective. My experience allows me to connect with them in a way that results in strong portraits that are both intimate and emotionally resonant. I also strive to capture not only the quiet beauty of the horse, but also moments of powerful and surreal movement.
