A high-contrast monochrome exploration of Shanghai’s Pudong Sports Center. The building’s signature silhouette is reimagined as a series of sharp, rhythmic peaks, reminiscent of industrial origami or a futuristic crown. The play of light across the metallic surfaces creates a shimmering, ethereal glow, while the dark glass voids add a sense of grounded weight. Set against a sweeping, wispy sky, the composition emphasizes the stadium's bold geometry, turning a massive sports arena into a delicate, sun-drenched sculpture.

Jean-Louis Carvès is a French photographer living in the Paris area. He studied photographic techniques, explored the work of renowned artists, and developed his skills and artistic vision through internships and masterclasses (with Olivier Föllmi, Cécile Domens, Reza Deghati, Jean-Christophe Béchet, Michael Portillo, Arnaud Baumann, Clarke Drahce, David Ken ...). His photographic practice has evolved and expanded through numerous trips abroad, encounters, and exchanges, as well as through his use of drones. His work has been recognized by the Fédération Photographique de France and abroad.
