This photograph depicts a bee sleeping inside a Yellow Aztec Marigold (Tagetes erecta). This image, from my “From Farm to Frame” series, captures a plant grown by my own hands, from seed to seed, as an organic seed farmer. Through my work, steeped in an intimate relationship with nature, I aim to honour the plant world. This image was taken during a walk around our farm, when I noticed a bee sleeping at the heart of a marigold. Instantly, I knew this was a special photo. Titled “Marigold Dreams”, this image evokes what it must feel like to sleep inside a marigold flower. Wouldn’t it be nice?
