This photograph was taken backstage at an award ceremony. Dozens of certificates lay scattered, and artists sifted through them to find the one bearing their name. Everyone was a winner, yet among the piled-up honours, each certificate felt no bigger than a drop in the ocean. One realises how brief it is to be seen, and how easily victory can disappear into the crowd.
