Photographed at the Livestock Bazaar in Kashgar, Xinjiang, China.
Once a key stop along the ancient Silk Road, the bazaar remains a place where trade, daily life, and tradition intersect. My focus is not only on the buying and selling of animals, but on the relationships between people, animals, and the land.
Red curtains open, stalls take shape, hands pull ropes, and deals are sealed in dust and sunlight. Preserving the colours and textures of the market, this work reflects a slow and resilient rhythm, where tradition continues to live within ordinary mornings.
