Sometimes the objects around us, like streetlights, drift so far from their ordinary state that they become difficult to recognize. With subtle changes in the codes of photography such as exposure and shutter speed, they can be rendered as if they are floating, without base or structure, appearing as strange entities within the darkness.
They are less instruments of illumination for people’s lives and more like fading, weary lights that share little resemblance even with one another.
