“Carnival Blur” captures the vibrant pulse of Chilbi carnival nights through the unique perspective of a Sol 45 lens. Embracing motion and blur, this series transforms fleeting moments into fluid echoes of light and color — a visual dance between reality and dream. Each image blurs the line between stillness and movement, inviting the viewer to experience the fairground’s kinetic energy and the glow of neon in an otherworldly, almost tactile way.
Juleah Claar (Leah) is an American photographer based in Switzerland. Working across film and digital, her practice is rooted in observation, shaped by a background in anthropology and a previous career in the corporate sector. She returned to photography in 2016.
Her work focuses on everyday life—street scenes, nature, and cultural details—distilling quiet, authentic moments into visual narratives. Occasionally working with double exposure, she layers images in post-processing to reframe familiar subjects with subtle complexity.
