The "Soma Nomaoi" is one of the festivals held in Soma, Fukushima Prefecture in JAPAN. It has been going on for over 1,000 years and began as a Shinto ritual to pray for peace and tranquility in the region. Warriors on horseback in armour compete a 1000m.
