On The Road is an ongoing wildlife-documentary photography project. It is being carried out on the section of the Kennedy Highway that links the towns of Mareeba and Atherton, and the Gilles Highway, which links the towns of Atherton and Yungaburra, in the Tableland region, Queensland state, Australia.
According to a study published by the University of Melbourne, it is estimated that 10 million wild animals: mammals, reptiles, birds and other species are killed every year by road accidents in Australia. The majority of accidents occur between dusk and dawn, but also at any time of day.

Carlos Ramiro is a storyteller photographer.
freelance photographer, researcher, writer, and traveler, his stories focus mostly on four photographic fields: Documentary, architecture, nature, and creative.
