In Nepal, religion is not confined to temples or rituals—it permeates daily life. Prayer flags flutter across mountain passes, carrying silent prayers on the wind. Stone shrines sit at busy crossroads, where offerings of marigolds and rice speak to an ancient reverence. Hinduism and Buddhism exist side by side, their stories carved into wood and stone, told in quiet chants and sacred festivals. The gods are near—in the footsteps of pilgrims circling stupas, in the smoke rising from temple incense, in the sound of a bell and monks chanting sutras.
