I took this picture while filming the great migration of African animals on the grasslands of Tanzania. It shows two lion brothers who have not yet separated. They love each other and protect each other. They grow up and survive together on this grassland until they meet their respective tribes.

I am a photographer, director and screenwriter working across travel, nature, wildlife and architectural photography. My work explores the distance between people and the environments they inhabit, and how light, time and unexpected encounters shape the way we see and remember a place.

Drawing on years of international travel and filmmaking experience, I combine the immediacy of documentary observation with a cinematic sensitivity to space, atmosphere and narrative. I am particularly interested in animal behaviour, human presence within natural environments
