Shell is a visual story about introversion – about the need for refuge, the urge to step away from the noise of the world, and the quiet strength hidden behind a delicate yet resilient exterior.
Shell is not only a reflection on isolation, but also on intimacy, focus, and the power that comes from being alone with oneself. It is an attempt to capture the moment when a person – consciously or not – chooses to seek shelter within their own inner world.
Abrotype (wetplate collodion).
Circle glass 10 inch diameter.
In photography I am interested mainly in light, forms and sometimes also metaphors.
Mostly I work in black and white photography - it allows to highlight shape, form and pattern and also helps to focus on composition. While reproduction of real life is not an interesting subject for me, b&w allows me to separate picture a bit from real life.
