In general, still life is about the representation of lifeless objects, but can it be said that the flowers in the vase are really dead? While an ordinary still life is like a quiet meditation, a restless still life is like a dream. It's a ghost in the room - everything is standing still, but there's something in the air, memories. I've tried to capture the spirit of the flowers I love and can't accept that they're just wilting in the vase.
