I discovered this location back in 2018 when we traveled to Madeira, but I was unable to shoot it. The dead tree on the lively mountain gives off a feeling that I would desribe as the circle of life. I've had this shot in mind for four years, so when I came back and the conditions exceeded my expectations I was extremely happy. There was a 30 second window where the clouds seperated the tree from the mountains in the background and I nailed it. This photo made my year.
