There are only 20,000 white rhinos left in the wild. Many of them live in the northern parts of Namibia - Etosha and Damaraland - where they are closely guarded to protect them from poaching.

Unlike the solitary black rhino, white rhinos are social animals, living in groups where spectacular but mostly harmless duels are inevitable. Here the sunset gave the scene a beautiful warm light.
