A Southern Chinese, I marvel at rapid urbanization—skyscrapers stir sublime awe, proving human power to reshape our world. Suzhou, Wu culture’s cradle and China’s key migrant hub, preserves low-rise water-town cores. Downtown thrives with living traditions. At Pingjiang Road, commercialization coexists with culture. Visitors merge with waterscapes: boatmen glide past lovers photographing bridges, etching an ink-wash tourism scene. I shot this in B&W to amplify its painterly texture."Concrete jungle or Wu whispers"? My lens bridges both, tracing cultural roots through coexistence.
