I was attracted by the way nature randomly created this fragile mobilo in the foreground, following the shape of the mountain in the distant background. A serene, ephemeral minimalist winter landscape
Through her photography, Eva Berler seeks the poetry in the ordinary. Her intent is to offer an aesthetic, quiet pause from the constant visual noise of daily life and a chance to reconnect with our emotions, memories, dreams, as well as the natural environment.
She is the winner of the Wildlife & Nature category of the Professional competition of the 2024 Sony World Photography Awards. Her work is part of the Museum of Avant-garde's permanent contemporary collection, in Switzerland. She has published one photobook (2022) and had two solo exhibitions (2023, 2024).
She is based in Greece.
