The often fluorescent intensity of colours of alpine plants is fascinating me.
I am using abstraction and blurring to allow the viewer focusing more on the colour rather than getting lost in details. The object, the flower with its often filigree forms may remain recognisable.
At the plant's location, I create the desired composition by selecting the blossom in front of contrasting surrounding colours. The power of the colour can now speak for itself.
